Let’s hear it!

The Nazis haveΠset up a secret base on the moon,Πliving there sinceΠ1945 where they hide out and plan to return to power in 2018. Staring the gorgeous Julia Dietze as Renate Richter, Gotz Otto as Klaus Adler and Christopher Kirby as James Washington.ΠIron Sky was directed by Timo Vuorensola who also directed Star Wreck: In The Pirkinning.

The first thing I will say is what a strange movie, really different, unlike anything I have seen recently. Its a Sci-Fi, Action War movie with other elements thrown in as well. Starts off with two Americans landing on the moon to then find out there is already somebody there, THE NAZIS. who want to head back to earth and conquer it.

There areΠelements of good comedy throughout which keeps its lively, as well as some great scenes with some massive vehicles in space.ΠThe idea of there being a gigantic space fortress/secret base on the moon sounds silly but still it does sound possible and i like what they have done with this movie. It reminds me of the original War Of The Worlds in parts, whichξ isnt a bad thing.

Its half in German (with subtitles) and half in English, which is fine, there's not loads of reading to be done so don't be put off. I wont give anything else anywayΠI will just say give it a watch, its nice watching something different and the way its been shot in a sexy-coolΠstyle which works greats. I would recommend this movie, I thought it was a fun and enjoyable watch. Its so refreshing to see something new and different and done so well in this case.
